| Pound Hill Software, a leading developer of metadata software tools, has created a MetaGrove dialog for the Metadata Working Group. This schema is documented in the document Guidelines for Handling Image Metadata v2.0 November 2010. MetaGrove is a software suite of products that provides custom XMP metadata capabilities to users of Adobe Creative Suite CS2 and CS3.

| The Metadata Working Group consortium published guidance for Handling Image Metadata. It has selected Photoshop, Dublin Core, IPTC Extension, XMP Rights properties, and defined new MWG properties for Image Region, Keyword Hierarchy, and Collections.

| The MetaGrove MWG dialog is compliant with the following exceptions.
Image Region sub property Extensions was not implemented. It calls out "Any additional top level XMP property to describe the content shown in image region." Without further clarification, this could result in hundreds of possible fields which are rarely populated. Although possible to implement in MetaGrove (static) dialogs, it is not very practical. Implementation is deferred until a specific set of useful properties may be identified.
Image Region -- "Refer to XMP metadata already present using rdfs:seeAlso notation." The rdfs:seeAlso property is used for defining RDF schemas, and does not seem appropriate for a property within an XMP schema. Substituted a simple sub property mwg-rs:seeAlso with an Open Choice of a few obvious properties that might apply to an image region.
Hierarchy of Keywords could, in theory, nest down many levels deep in XMP, without limit. This MetaGrove dialog provides nesting five levels deep that fits on a typical size panel.
