Pound Hill Software, a leading developer of metadata software tools, has updated its Beta MetaGrove dialog for PRISM Digital Image Management Metadata (http://www.prismstandard.org/) (dim2), to v1.beta6. This MetaGrove dialog was first released Nov 2005. MetaGrove is a software suite of products that provides custom XMP metadata capabilities to users of Adobe Creative Suite.

PRISM DIM2 is focused on managing digital images within a publisher's operation from initial photo assignment, image submission, production, archive, reuse and aggregation. The metadata model is architected for implementations in XML, RDF, and XMP. MetaGrove implements XMP.

Specification Status: Work-in-progress -- Version 1.0 "Final Prior to Vote" March 2006. PRISM Working Group (http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/prism-wg/) readied this specification to the point of final release and then set it aside while they developed PRISM 2.0, and notably, PRISM Usage Rights 2.1 (July 1, 2009). The working group is reviewing the specification with the purpose of final release. This update to the MetaGrove dialog for PRISM DIM2 reflects a snapshot of this review effort.

The DIM2 standards effort was renamed PRISM Metadata for Images. The resulting XMP schema is documented at: Schema_PRISM_PMI.htm/
